Brothers Arrested Within Minutes Of Each Other
A 21-year-old man’s plan to evade arrest by giving his brother’s name to the Police didn’t go according to plan after his brother was stopped by Police minutes later.
The brother, 19, also proceeded to give his 21-year-old brother’s name. As a result both men were arrested and detained by the Police.
The Police say an officer stopped a 21 year old man for a traffic offence at 2am on Wednesday in the Blue Hole Hill, Hamilton parish area. He gave the officer his brother’s name; however five minutes later that brother, a 19 year old man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving by the same officer in the same location. When asked, the 19 year old man gave his 21 year old brother’s name.
The Bermuda Police Service have cautioned members of the community about using another person’s name when asked to identify themselves to a Police officer.

When will people learn to step up and take responsibility for their own actions?
Must have been those Becks brothers from One Rum Alley in St. George……You know the ole saying…….Blood is thicker than Swizzels……………………

smh. lesson learned? just take responsibility or don’t do stupid stuff in the first place. end of story.
Funny as hell. If ya gonna lie dont use another losers name.
Question: Why don’t the Police ask for ID like they do in the states? This would eliminate things like this from happening. If they don’t ask for ID when they pull you over, whats the sense of obtaining a driver’s license in the first place?
They do…but its very easy to say you don’t have it….
There’s a fine for not possessing a license and also no one can tell that the vehicle isn’t stolen if you can’t prove it’s yours.
Dumb and dumber!!!! Goodness….
I was going to say must have been Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
Who needs enemies when you have brothers? LOL! Wow. Dumbest Criminals here we go!
kinda puts a whole new spin on the phrase “i am my brother’s keeper” lol
Test
So I am walking down the backstreets and enjoying the night air. Cop stops me. You look like the guy that just ran out of that 7-11…let me see some ID……..
Ooops…it’s in my wallet on the dresser at home 12 blocks away. Not an offence to walk or be in public without ID. Is it where you live? Now driving/riding……..what a can of worms………
apparently it is a $50 offense, however, to be driving without your license on you, so i’ve heard.
Can get a ticket for not having your licence on you when driving and also run the risk of being detained and taken to a police station until your identity can be confirmed…
A lot of people run this gambit. If the police have the wrong name and license plate combination, than the ticket gets thrown out, especially if you deal a next signature.
I’m sure they discussed it earlier but did not execute it correctly.
