Premier’s Gala Weekend Raises $250,000
The PLP has announced that the Premier’s Gala Weekend held last month raised $250,000.
The weekend consisted of the Green and White Beach Party [view photos] at Snorkel Park, there was the Premier’s Golf Tournament at Port Royal, the First Lady’s Luncheon, and followed up by the Black Tie Gala [view photos & report], where tickets started at $500. The weekend featured around a dozen celebrities who are flew in from the USA.
In announcing the PLP said “Yesterday, Premier Ewart Brown made one last gift to the Progressive Labour Party: $250,000 raised during his gala weekend. The funds will be used to strengthen the party’s grassroots operation and ensure that our party remains in touch with the people. We thank the Premier for his incredible generosity and support over the years.”
