Moscow Move For CD&P’s Claire McConway

1McConway_Claire-0Conyers Dill & Pearman today [Mar. 2] said it would be further augmenting its Moscow office with the addition of senior corporate and finance lawyer Claire McConway as the Bermuda firm continues to expand its international footprint.

Presently an associate in CD&P’s Bermuda head office which she joined as an associate in 2009, Ms McConway’s practice covers all aspects of corporate finance, including public and private mergers and aquisitions, private equity investment, IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements, cross border lending and security arrangements, and aviation finance structuring.

She also has considerable expertise in advising on the corporate aspects of Islamic finance transactions and Shari’ah compliant investments.

Caroline O’Hare, managing partner of CD&P’s Moscow office, said: “Claire’s expertise gives additional strength and breadth to our practice in Moscow, which has been handling an increasing volume of work since launch. Prior to joining CD&P, Ms McConway worked at US firm King & Spalding in London. She has also worked with Denton Wilde Sapte and Herbert Smith. Ms McConway holds degrees from College of Law, Chester, and Trinity College Dublin. She is admitted to practise in England and Wales, British Virgin Islands and Bermuda.

CD&P’s Moscow office opened in 2008 and it is the only off-shore firm in Russia and the former Soviet republics which provides legal advice on the jurisdictions of BVI, Bermuda, Cayman, Mauritius and, in co-operation with Antis Triantafyllides & Sons LLC, Cyprus.
