Friends & Family Remember ‘Miracle’
Friends and family gathered on Princess Street this evening [June 27] to hold a candlelight vigil in memory of 3-year-old Stanwondae “Miracle” Swan who died after a tragic accident exactly one year ago today.
His parents – Leasser [Lisa] and Stanley Swan [pictured below] gathered with their children, members of their extended family, friends and neighbours to remember Miracle, who died after being pulled from the water at Kindley Field Road, St. George’s on June 27, 2010.
Almost 100 people had gathered by the end of the evening, many wearing t-shirts emblazoned with Miracle’s face, and well as pins bearing his likeness set with angel wings.
The Swans provided food and beverages, and after the food was served and the sun went down, candles were passed out. Community activist Scott Smith lead those gathered in prayer, which was followed by musical performances by Shacobi Basden and Desmond Smith.
Sleep well lil cousin, miss you dearly!!
Rest In Peace Miracle.
We the family of Stanwondae “Miracle” Swan would like to thank everyone who came out to the candle light vigil last night to show their love and support we strongly appreciate everyone of you; may God bless you all
I remember this tragedy like it was just yesterday with this family losing this precious little boy. Miracle’s parents are so strong, yet I know it must be hard living day-to-day without their little man. I pray that God continues to strengthen them and the entire family in the future.
God bless you!
