Amazing how no one has a comment for this. LMAO!!!!!

  2. US Observer says:

FridayGirl – What does that mean? Are people too afraid to respond because it involves gangs? I’m not a local so help me understand.

  3. US Observer says:

Wow…such a good looking young man.

  4. Observer says:

My first time looking at Bernews for the day. What i find amazing is the fact that he was charged….how long ago and we are still waiting for sentencing. But yet it only took a few weeks to sentence David Cox. SMDH and this is what someone brought up in that their comment under that article as well. I smell rats…spelled P A R K S I D E!!!!

    • blackbeard de pirate says:

does it really matter how long it takes between conviction and sentencing? its not like he is gonna be released soon. people luv a conspiracy no matter how silly.

      • Observer says:

I made this comment because it was brought up in the last article when David Cox was sentenced. Its not about a conspiracy but it is about being fair. it is claimed that they both committed the same crime so why should sentencing be different. That was the point in the last “discussion” hence the reason for my comment

      • It is what it is says:

Yes to some it does matter ..He was on trial and found guilty WEEKS before Mr. Cox was tried and sentenced. So yes as members of the public people have a right to question as to whats up with his sentencing. Also at blackbeard its not a matter of Loving a conspiracy its theories based on FACTS…

    • Keisha says:

      hahahahaha!!

  5. Onion Soup says:

He wasn’t sentenced at the sentencing hearing because his lawyer wasn’t available, as plainly stated in the article. Counsel must be present at the hearing. It’s not uncommon, so I don’t know why people are so bloody excited about this…it’s not like they’re going to cut him loose until his lawyer shows up.

    • It is what it is says:

Simply because he was found GUILTY WEEKS AGO is the point that people are making….not caring that he lawyer was unavailable today….Mr. Cox was found guilty and sentenced within a week..people have the right to ask as to why HE hasn’t been sentenced as yet….

      • Scott says:

        “he lawyer was unavailable today”

“.people have the right to ask as to why HE hasn’t been sentenced as yet….”

        you answered your own question..

he hasnt been sentenced because of dumb legal aid not being there. why was it rescheduled the first time? same reason??
its not like they can just pencil you in whenever you want a sentencing hearing. Courts are full and it takes time before the next available date.

  6. Island GURL says:

Either way you put it, No matter how long they take with each case. At least they got somebody for both murders! I wish they can Sentence and Convict more. To much senseless crime going on it bermy.

  7. Stop Pointing ya Fingers says:

Funny!!! He is been on trial for how long???? And David was on trial for how long???????

Doesn’t add up Bermuda!!! Where is the consistency!!??

  8. Onion Soup says:

There could be any number of reasons why sentencing has not taken place yet, aside from his counsel not being present for the hearing. My understanding is that pre-sentencing reports and, I believe, victim impact statements etc., have to be filed with the Judge and the parolling authority, and which also have to be reviewed by defence counsel. Some take longer than others to get everything in order for sentencing. Sometimes it’s just a matter of getting a slot in the docket for the sentence hearing. In any event, comparing this case to David Cox’s case doesn’t fly….every case is different. If you really have to know why it’s taking so long, go see a criminal lawyer and ask him or her.

    • It is what it is says:

It just shows that there is no CONSISTENCY plain and simple!!!….no matter what paperwork needs to be filed they had WEEKS to prepare it even before David went on trial…and that’s all people are asking ….WHY??????????

      • rob says:

What appears to be reasonably consistent is the fact that the police are finally getting some control over this immature & nauseating madness.

The fact that the clearly interested public have to wait a few days/ mmonths longer for Meyers to be sentenced is a minor matter, as in the interim, Meyers remains in the same confined place that he will ultimately spend a huge portion of his adult life..

  9. True dat says:

This Sh*t is a conspiracy!! go take a walk out de block right now and I can bet my bottom dollar you’ll see a couple of them bastards out there on their post like they punching a time clock Still selling their drugs as if the police station isn’t just to seconds away and sitting right across from the so called cameras to boot!!!
lets just see how much time Meyers gets now that his sentence has been so conveniently delayed over and over!! Cox got whAT 38 YEARS TO LIFE and that other boy got what 35 to life so what meyers gonna get??!?!?!?
