Boy oh boy. What a tough first match for our team in the World Team Championships! Our Bermuda boys were taking on one of the mightiest squash nations whose players are all full-time professionals. Yes, they were always going to be well beaten, but exposure to squash at this level is a fabulous experience, and they will now play some of the slightly less powerful teams in the consolation matches. I guarantee that our boys will be better for this experience – win or lose their remaining games – and are representing tiny Bermuda with pride. Good luck in the rest of your matches.

    • Christine Franklin says:

Thanks Roger – it is so true – this Championship is to be likened to the Olympics of Squash. Our young team knew when they left that they would be up against the world’s best, but they have all stayed the course and have gleaned so much from this experience.

Baptism of fire. But well worth the experience!!
