Weather Service Issues Severe Weather Watch
As everyone who has left the house has noticed, inclement weather is passing over Bermuda today [Aug.2] The Bermuda Weather Service issued a ‘Severe Weather Watch’ valid through to this afternoon, and a ‘Small Craft Warning’ and ‘Thunderstorm Advisory’ valid through to tomorrow [Aug.2].
The Bermuda Weather Service forecasts periods of rain, with a risk of thunder today: “A stalled front in our area will intensify from time to time. Cloudy conditions will prevail with periods of showery rain. Some of this rain may turn heavy and thundery at times. The front then weakens by Thursday, with drier and less cloudy conditions. It will turn increasingly breezy. High near 28°C/82°F.”
