Bean Wins Athlete Of The Week
Bermudian footballer Keishen Bean, who plays for Cape Breton University in Canada, has been awarded the Canadian Interuniversity Sport Male Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sept. 18, 2011.
Cape Breton said, “Bean, a fourth-year student from Sandys, Bermuda, also found the back of the net five times last weekend as the No. 6-ranked Capers improved to 3-0 in conference play with a 3-1 victory over Memorial and a 9-1 domination of Acadia.”
“After opening the scoring on Saturday against the Sea-Hawks, the former all-Canadian had a career day on Sunday with four goals, including the game-winner at the 26-minute mark. Bean is tied for the AUS scoring lead with five tallies in three matches.”
