Ryan Purnell Named ‘Player of the Week’
Bermudian footballer Ryan Purnell has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference [CACC] Men’s Soccer ‘Player of the Week’ for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 11.
Mr Purnell, a 5-8 senior midfielder, led Philadelphia to a 2-0 week with three goals and one assist. He tallied two goals and one assist in a CACC win over Concordia, and added a goal in a non-conference victory over East Stroudsburg.
He is currently studying for a degree in marketing at Philadelphia University, and was awarded the Carlton “Pepe” Dill Scholarship valued at $15,000 per year last year.
