Jack Daniels Golf Tour Series

October 11, 2011

Anthony Mocklow continued his habit of winning the Jack Daniels Tour major events by winning his third out of the five this year. Mocklow picked up another $700 check for his 68(-2) which was good enough for a two stroke win at the Riddell’s Bay course.

Mocklow overcame a nightmare start with a double bogey on the tough first hole only to come back with 5 birdies and make only one other bogey. Things could have finished a little differently though, with Bobby Macronald surprising the field with an even par 70 to share second with Daniel Augustus.

Macronald played the front side in 33(-3) and continued to play well only to finish with bogeys on the last 3 holes to slip into tied second. Augustus couldn’t get rid of the little mistakes and his 4 bogeys were offset by the 4 birdies for his even par 70.

Rounding out the rest of the top finishers was Cornell Bean and Twilton Smith finishing tied 4th with 72(+2), Dwayne Pearman was 6th with 74(+4) and Chris Grantier picked up the final check for his 7th place finish on 75(+5).
