Football: First & Premier Division Results

Over the weekend a number of First and Premier Division football games took place across the Island, results below:

Ireland Rangers 0 Somerset Eagles 4

  • At the Malabar Field all four goals came in the first 24 minutes, as Ian Mullings gave visiting Somerset Eagles the lead in the 4th minute, Jonte Pearson doubled the lead in the 17th minute and when Darin Dowling made it 3 – 0 to the Somerset Eagles over Ireland Rangers it looked as if the route was on, however only a goal from Sean Dill two minutes later was the only other goal of the game as Somerset Eagles came away with all three points.

BAA 0 X’Road’s 0

  • At the BAA Field, the home team BAA and visiting X’Road’s played to a 0 – 0 draw.

Paget Lions 0 Young Men Social Club 0

  • At the White Hill Field, the home team Paget Lions and visiting Young Men Social Club played to a 0 – 0 draw.

Wolves 3 Flanagan’s Onions 2

  • At the Devonshire Rec. Lamelle Paynter gave Wolves the lead in the 21st minute, Marcus Ming doubled the lead in the 33rd minute, Flanagan’s Onion’s pulled a goal back in the 50th minute when Pete Robey scored, however the Wolves two goal lead was restored through an own goal, Keston Lewis made it a one goal game in the 83rd minute, but Wolves was able to hold on for the three points.

Hamilton Parish 3 Devonshire Colts 1

  • At the Wellington Oval, Hamilton Parish got two goals from Donaovan Thompson and a single strike from Kaiya Darrell as they defeated the Devonshire Colts who got a goal from Zuri Darrell 3 – 1.

Premier Division

St. George’s Colts 0 Robin Hood 3

  • At the Wellington Oval, Robin Hood went in front in the 40th minute when Aaron Nelson scored, they got second half strikes from Teddy Terceira and Steven Simons as they defeated the St. George’s Colts 3 – 0.

Dandy Town Hornets 5 Somerset Trojans 1

  • At the St. John’s Field, Damon Ming gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead in the 5th minute, however five minutes later Dion Stovell drew the Somerset Trojans level. Angelo Simmons gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead in the 19th minute, with Raymond Beach making it 3 – 1 with a goal in the 55th minute. Beach then made it 4 – 1 twelve minutes later with his second goal of the game, Simmons then scored his second goal of the game on the stroke of full time to earn the Dandy Town Hornets a 5 – 1 win.

Southampton Rangers 2 North Village Rams 2

  • At the Southampton Oval, Southampton Rangers went ahead in the 5th minute when Dennis Russell scored, Russell doubled the lead in the 42nd minute, the North Village Rams pulled a goal back in the 49th minute when Lashun Dill scored and then Jason Lee volleyed home the equalized from 12 yards out for the North Village Rams in the 59th minute.
