BSSF Knock Out Football Finals Results
[Updated] Some of the island’s best young footballers took to the field as the Bermuda School Sports Federation [BSSF] held its football knock out finals yesterday [Dec.10] at the National Sports Centre.
Primary School Boys: Somersfield Academy 1 Paget Primary 0
Somersfield Academy defeated Paget Primary 1-0 to lift the Primary School Boys Trophy. Nasje Brockington broke the deadlock when he chipped the Paget goal keeper. Elijah Lloyd won MVP for Somersfield and Jaiden Manders won MVP for Paget after making a few spectacular saves which kept his team in the game.
Middle School Girls: Sandys Secondary Middle School 5 Saltus Grammar School 0
Sandys Secondary Middle School won the Middle School Girls match with a convincing 5-0 victory over the Saltus Grammar School. Sandys Secondary Middle School MVP Deshae Darell scored two goals, while Dazhja Greaves, Charmaine Lambe and Ember Butterfield added single strikes. Danielle Foote was the MVP for Saltus.
Middle School Under 13: Sandys Secondary Middle School 1 Clearwater Middle School 2
Clearwater Middle School got first half goals from Aaron Burgess and Tah-ki Tucker as they defeated the Sandys Secondary Middle School 2 – 1, Sandys Secondary Middle School pulled a goal back late in the game through Tahzeiko Harris, however the Clearwater Middle School hung on the win the title. The MVP for the Clearwater Middle School was Kenton Ottley, while Keeron Wilson was the MVP for the Sandys Secondary Middle School.
Middle School Over 13: Saltus Grammar School 0 The Whitney Institute 5
The Whitney institute defeated Saltus 5-0 in the Middle School Over 13 Boys Final. Jomei Bean Lindo, Shawn Stevens, Jahzardae Samuels from the penalty spot, Ayinde Desilva and Jaizel Smith Deshields all scored a goal each. Bean-Lindo was voted the MVP for The Whitney Institute, while Dylan Powell was the MVP for the Saltus Grammar School.
Senior School Girls: CedarBridge Academy 1 (2) The Berkeley Institute 1 (3)
The Berkeley Institute defeated the Cedarbridge Academy 3-2 on kicks from the penalty mark after this Senior Girls Final ended 1-1. Jalen Bean gave Cedarbridge Academy the 1-0 lead early in the match, however Aaliyah Nolan equalized for The Berkeley Institute late in the match. The Berkeley Institute MVP Nolan then went in goal and saved two penalties to give her side the victory. Leanna Hall was voted MVP for the Cedarbridge Academy.
Senior School Under 16: Berkeley 0 CedarBridge 3
Berkeley beat Cedarbridge again in the under 16 final. Anwar Lekki gave Berkeley the lead. Nacori Smith doubled the lead early in the second half before Omari Curtis made it 3-0 from the penalty spot. Nahjee Smith and MVP Machai Battersbee pulled two back for Cedarbridge. Uzziah Mell was MVP for Berkeley.

Senior School Over 16: CedarBridge Academy 1 Saltus Grammar School 0
CedarBridge Academy defeated Saltus Grammar School 1-0 to lift the Over 16 Trophy. Cedarbridge Academy’s MVP Terikko Wilson scored the only goal, while Fabio Pacheco was voted the MVP for Saltus Grammar School.
