Football: First & Premier Division Results
A number of football games took place across the island this past weekend, the results follow below:
X’Road’s 1 Flanagan’s Onion’s 4
At the Garrison Field, the visitors Flanagan’s Onions took the lead in the 14th minute when Peter Robey scored from an overhead kick, Keston Lewis doubled the lead in the 25th minute when he outpaced the X’Road’s defense and lobbed the ball over an advancing X’Road’s goalkeeper. Lewis then made it 3 – 0 to Flanagan’s in the 38th minute, but Khomeini Talbot pulled a goal back for X’Road’s in the 38th minute, however Lee Osborne restored the visitors three goal lead in the 63rd minute as Flanagan’s came away with a 4 – 1 win.
Somerset Eagles 0 Hamilton Parish 1
At the White Hill Field, Dejon Simmons scored the lone goal for Hamilton Parish in the 81st minute as they defeated the Somerset Eagles 1 – 0.
Wolves 6 Paget Lions 0
At the Devonshire Rec. Hobte Burrows gave Wolves the lead in the 31st minute, Tamauri Tucker doubled the home teams lead in the 60th minute, Marcus Ming made it 3 – 0 to Wolves over the Paget Lions with a goal in the 73rd minute. Burrows scored his second goal of the game in the 87th minute before Jared Peniston scored to make it 5 – 0 in the 89th minute and Derek Brangman closed out the scoring with a strike in the 90th minute.
Ireland Rangers 0 Young Men Social Club 3
At Malabar, Young Men Social Club got goals from Gernel Darrell, Callon Burns and Kaijah Davis as they defeated Ireland Rangers 3 – 0.
BAA 6 Prospect United 3
At the BAA Field, Willie Clemens scored a hat-trick to lead BAA to a 6 – 3 win over Prospect United. Ian Simmons, Dante Taylor and London Roberts each added a goal for BAA, Shaki Swan scored twice for Prospect, while Kieran Bennett added the other.
St. George’s Colts 1 St. David’s 1
At the Wellington Oval, Otis Minors gave visiting St. David’s the lead in the 15th minute when he headed home from close range, but former St. David’s player Angelo Cannonier equalized for the St. George’s Colts in the 37th minute as the East End clubs shared the points.
Boulevard Blazers 2 Southampton Rangers 2
At the BAA Field, Melchisedec Gibbons gave the Boulevard Blazers the lead in the 17th minute, Vernon Perinchief equalized for the Southampton Rangers in the 24th minute. Ajani Gibbons put the Boulevard Blazers back in front in the 52nd minute, but it was cancelled out by Dennis Russell in the 81st minute as he equalized for the Southampton Rangers as the two teams shared the points.
PHC Zebras 1 Robin Hood 0
At the Southampton Oval, Antwan Russell scored the lone goal in this game in the 28th when he converted from the penalty spot to give the PHC Zebras a 1 – 0 win over Robin Hood.
