‘Pizza Party’ For Logo Contest Winner
The Fairmont Southampton’s Director of Public Relations, Jamahl Simmons played the role of “pizza deliveryman,” for an excited class of students at Harrington Sound Primary earlier this week.
P6 student Anna Lightbourne won the resort’s island wide contest to select the logo that would be used in the upcoming 35th Anniversary Fairmont to Fairmont Race and along with her $100 cash prize, Ms. Lightbourne received a pizza party for her classmates.
“We received a number of visually striking and creative logo designs from students across the island, but Anna’s design was the one that truly captured the imagination of our Sales Team,” said Fairmont Bermuda’s Regional Director of Sales and Marketing Shelley Meszoly.
“The opportunity to get our young people involved in The Fairmont to Fairmont Race whether it is through this contest or as participants in the race itself is a great way to ensure the long term health of this event and a fun way to recognize the tremendous amount of talent found among Bermuda’s youth.”
Anna Lightbourne’s winning logo design for the Fairmont to Fairmont 35th Anniversary Road Race will be unveiled later this month and will be used in the various promotional items utilized in the lead up to Fairmont to Fairmont Race held on January 8, 2012.
