Mrs Esther Maynard, the Technical Delegate for the LIME Carifta Games from Barbados, will be in Bermuda from January 22nd to Saturday January 28th conducting training for our Head officials.

Bermuda Track and Field Association President Donna Watson said, “All Head officials at the LIME Carifta Games have to be Level 1 certified so there will be around 23 persons attending the training. The training will take place at the Cricket Pavillion all day Sunday [8:30 - 5:00] and Monday to Friday evening from 5:00 – 9:00pm.

“The practical will of course take place on the track. Mrs. Maynard is a certified instructor and as the technical delegate will make sure that the running of the Games from the meet standard point meets all IAAF standards.

“The Technical Delegate is selected by our NACAC President and the person can not reside in the country the Games are held in. We are looking forward to this training, as once this training has been completed the officials will be using our track meets as their practical training ground in preparation for the LIME Carifta Games.”
