Gale Warning & Severe Weather Watch
The Bermuda Weather Service issued a Gale Warning, Severe Weather Watch and Thunderstorm Advisory – all valid from this afternoon [Jan.19] to this evening. A Small Craft Warning is also in effect from this evening to Friday morning.
Forecaster Ken Smith said, “Today’s forecast is for a few showers this morning, turning to widespread rain and showers with a risk of thunder from late morning until the front goes through this evening.
“Winds will be strong to gale force this morning through this evening until the front clears through, with gusts approaching storm force at times, especially in and around thunderstorms. Expect seas rising rough to very rough today with the strong to gale force winds.
