Brookfield Reports Jump In Revenue
Bermuda’s Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners L.P. today [Feb.13] reported an increase in both revenue and funds from operations for the year ended Demember 31 compared with 2010.
Backed by Canadian interests, Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners L.P. is a Bermuda-based limited partnership that is treated as a partnership for US and Canadian tax purposes.
Brookfield Renewable was launched in Bermuda on November 28, 2011, from the combination of Brookfield Renewable Power Fund and the renewable power assets of Brookfield Renewable Power Inc. and its results were reported on a pro forma basis as if the combination had occurred as of January1, 2010.
The company said funds from operations were $419 million or $1.60 per unit for 2011, up from S$350 million or $1.33 per unit in 2010.
Revenue was $1.3 billion, up from $1.18 billion.
Brookfield Renewable has a portfolio of some 5,000 megawatts of installed capacity, mostly hydro power, in Canada, the United States and Brazil.
