Police Confirm Death Of George Bossert
This afternoon [May 31] the Bermuda Police Service officially confirmed the death of 56 year old George Bossert.
Mr Bossert, a French national, was pronounced dead at 11:55am on Tuesday, May 29th, after falling off of a wall in the Devil’s Hole Hill, Smith’s parish area and into the waters of Harrington Sound.
Employed as a chef at the Foxy’s Cafe in Devil’s Hole and a resident of the Salvation Army Shelter, Mr Bossert lived in Bermuda for over 20 years.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 56 year old George Bossert following the notification of his overseas next of kin. Mr. Bossert, a French national and longtime Bermuda resident, was pronounced dead at 11:55am on Tuesday, May 29th.
“Inquiries are ongoing into the reported tragic incident that occurred around 5pm on Saturday, May 26th which resulted in Mr. Bossert being taken to hospital in critical condition after he apparently fell off of a wall in the Devil’s Hole Hill, Smith’s parish area and into the waters of Harrington Sound.
“Any witnesses or anyone who was in the Harrington Sound Road, Devil’s Hole Hill Smith’s parish area around 5pm Saturday, May 26th is encouraged to contact Detective Constable Elesa Brown at the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222
