Photos: Bermuda Win Caribbean Championship
[Updated] The Bermuda National Rugby team won the 2012 Caribbean Championship this afternoon [June 23] with an 18-0 win over Guyana in front of the home crowd at the National Sports Center in Devonshire.
Bermuda defeated Guyana in a very physical match, getting a try from both David Pringle and Ian Henderson, while Henderson also kicked a Conversion and two Penalties in the win. We will update with footage and additional information as able.
Update 8.12pm: Ian Henderson said, “It was a tough game and we spent a lot of it chasing the Guyana boys around. But we stuck to our game plan and played to our strengths. The forwards were dominant from the first whistle which allowed the half backs to get on the front foot and control the game.”

CONGRATS Bermuda, right ive just worked out how Bermuda can qualify for the Rugby World Cup 2015, we now play a play off game against the winner of a group of Columbia, Venezuela, Peru and Paraguay, and then the winner of that match plays Brazil, and then the winner of the match enters a group with Chile and Uruguay, and the winner of that table plays the loser of USA/Canada, and whoeevr wins that match goes to the world cup, and the loser enters the repechage tournamnet, against africa and asia and oceania runners up!! But thats another kettle of fish!! Phew, that took me a while, so bloody hard to wrok it out!! Hope it helps
Thanks mate, that puts it in HIGH perspective as to what this means for us Ruggers….

What a shame that this wasnt better publicized! Imagine if football or cricket were up for the championship???? Oh, and rugby also gets no $$$$$!!! Maybe some support for the world cup campaign would be in order.
Brilliant! Well done.
Well done guys! Congratulations!
A job well done TEAM Bermuda!! Keep the Fire burning!
