Is this Bda dollars or US dollars?
I thought the whole idea of monetary authorities changing the currency was to improve upon it and make it more dificult to duplicate!!!The money used to have quality, it now lacks in lustre and is cheap looking almost like monopoly money.. who makes these decisions anyway,?? what a collossal waste of money it was to change the currency only to have more conterfeits than you can shake a stick at!!Unfortunately the more we change the worse we become. Not only does our currency look so cheapened it has also devalued, and disappeared from lots of Bermudians pockets! it wasn’t burnt up hmmmm..OH YES! it was sent overseas via HSBC BUTTERFIELD< WESTERN UNION , WESTERN UNION DID I SAY WESTERN UNION.!!IT NO LONGER resides in Bermuda for the large part.
The counterfeit money circulating is the old Bermuda bills not the new ones. People need to be mindful to check the old bills $20, $50 & $100. I would hate end up with one or take one from a customer and have to report them.
Times are hard and apparently ppl are resorting to all sorts of measures to get by…but at the detriment of our already failing ecomony. Greed and selfishness all around..I guess that how this world works now (4some).
