Video: Harness Pony Racing Season Opener
The Bermuda Driving & Harness Pony [BDHP] racing season got underway this past weekend at the National Equestrian Center with the CableVision Friday Night Series.
In Heat One BDHP President Arnold Manders steered Colonel’s Finest to victory in the 1:08/3 to 1:10/3 Class in a winning time of 1:13 flat, while Hott Gossip with EJ Carreiro in the bike finished second clocking 1:13/1.
In the 1:13/0 to 1:15/0 Class race, one of the oldest drivers took on a twelve year old rookie, elder statesman Arthur Hurst clocked a time of 1:16/2 in the bike of Colonel’s J, while twelve year old Kiwon Waldron making his debut finished second clocking a time of 1:16/4. Full results here [PDF].
