BCB Release Selection Policy Documents

The Bermuda Cricket Board have released documents explaining the selection policy for national teams and the criteria for captaincy.

The BCB said the “selection policy is influenced by different criteria including players making themselves available to train in preparation for international tournaments and play in all international tournaments if selected, the player must participate in domestic cricket when in the country, players are expected to have achieved and maintain a standard of physical and medical fitness required for international cricket and more.

“The core principle for the criteria for captaincy says that, “team captains are competent, committed and accountable in providing quality leadership, both and off the field, demonstrating high level tactical and strategic understanding, have the ability to educate players and demonstrating the highest degree of professionalism. Both documents can be seen below in their entirety.”
