Football: Premier & First Division Results
A number of football games in various leagues took place this weekend with St. David’s, Hamilton Parish, Ireland Rangers, Boulevard Blazers, Somerset Eagles, PHC Zebras, Southampton Rangers and Somerset Trojans all recording victories.
First Division: BAA 1 St. David’s 4
Playing at the BAA Field, Travis Trott gave BAA the lead in the 36th minute and Fiqre Crockwel equalized for St. David’s in the 53rd minute. Kemo Bean put St. David’s in front 2-1 in the 57th minute, before an own goal increased the St. David’s lead to 3-1 and then Shakil Robinson closed out the scoring for the visitors in the 82nd minute for the win.
First Division: Prospect United 1 Hamilton Parish 3
At the Police Field, Prospect United went in front in the first minute when Kieran Bennett found the back of the net. Hamilton Parish equalized in the 20th minute when Ian Coke scored, Devon Rogers gave Hamilton Parish took the lead in the 73rd minute and then Coke scored his second in the 81st minute as Hamilton Parish won 3-1.
First Division: Paget Lions 0 Ireland Rangers 6
At the White Hill Field, the Mills brother scored five goals between them as Ireland Rangers defeated the Paget Lions 6-0, Jesse Mills scored a hat-trick, while Jamal Mills added two in the win, Devrae Bradshaw added the other in the win.
First Division: X-Road’s 3 Boulevard Blazers 2
At the Garrison Field, Jahleel Crockwell gave the Boulevard Blazers the lead in the 7th minute, however Uthmani Talbot equalized for X-Road’s in the 30th minute. Tymon Daniels gave X-Road’s the lead in the 56th minute, Daniels scored again in the 68th minute converting from the penalty spot, but Shenouda Outerbridge pulled the Boulevard Blazers within one when he scored in the 88th minute, but time ran out as X-Road’s won 3-2.
First Division: Somerset Eagles 2 Young Men Social Club 0
At the White Hill Field, the Somerset Eagles got goals from Alan Wilkinson and Darin Dowling as they defeated the Young Men Social Club 2-0.
Premier Division: PHC Zebras 3 – Robin Hood 1
At the Southampton Oval, the PHC Zebras went in front in the 14th minute when Justin Dean scored, Shakir Smith doubled the lead in the 58th minute, Lonnie Bascome scored in the 77th minute to give the PHC Zebras a 3-0 lead, before Mikre Pace pulled a goal back for Robin Hood.
Premier Division: St. George’s Colts 2 – Southampton Rangers 3
At the Wellington Oval, Mackie Crane gave the St. George’s Colts the lead in the 1st minute, Allan Douglas Jr. doubled the host lead in the 23rd minute, but the visitors began their comeback in the 75th minute when Dennis Russell scored. Marvin Belboda equalized for the Southampton Rangers in the 86th minute and then Belboda completed the comeback and take all three points with a goal in the 89th minute as Southampton Rangers defeated the St. George’s Colts 3-2.
Premier Division: Somerset Trojans 4 – Wolves 2
At the Somerset Cricket Club the Somerset Trojans got two goals from Tyrell Burgess and two from Dion Stovell in their 4 – 2 win over Wolves. Derek Brangmans and Morriko Iris scored a goal each for the visitors.
