Premier & First Division Football Results
A number of football games took place across the island this weekend, with Young Men Social Club, Boulevard Blazers, BAA, North Village Rams and the Dandy Town Hornets all walking away with wins.
First Division
Young Men Social Club 2 – X’Roads 1
At the Bernard Park Robert Rawlins gave Young Men Social Club the lead in the 16th minute, Uthmani Talbot pulled goal back for X’Roads in the 33rd minute, but Rawlins found the back of the net for a second time in the game when he converted from the penalty spot in the 74th minute.
Ireland Rangers 0 – Boulevard Blazers 3
At Malabar the Boulevard Blazers defeated Ireland Rangers 3 – 0, Rohan Senior gave the visitors the lead in the 17th minute, Jahleel Crockwell doubled the lead in the 19th minute and then Terencino Lowe scored his second in the 60th minute to earn them a 3 – 0 win.
Prospect United 0 – BAA 6
At the Police Field, BAA went ahead in the 10th minute when Travis Trott scored, the lead was doubled two minutes later with Ryan Tyrell finding the back of the net, Trott scored again in the 46th minute to make it 3 – 0, BAA goalkeeper Kevin Bean then scored from the penalty spot in the 70th minute. Makai Young made it 5 – 0 in the 85th minute and then in injury time Deandre Trott made it 6 – 0.
Devonshire Colts – Hamilton Parish – Match Abandoned
With the teams deadlocked at 3 – 3 with some ten minutes to play, this match was abandoned following an incident which was said to have involved shoving and profanity.
Premier Division
North Village Rams 4 – St. George’s Colts 1
At the Bernard Park, the North Village Rams and the St. George’s Colts were looking for their first points of the season. The home team went ahead early in the contest when Keishen Bean beat the outrushing St. George’s Colts goalkeeper Zeiko Burgess to head the ball home, the host got another goal from Bean and two from Pierre Smith as they won 3 – 1, Jahron Dickinson scored the lone goal for the St. George’s Colts.
PHC Zebras 1 – Southampton Rangers 1
At the Southampton Oval , the PHC Zebras went ahead in the 14th minute when Kevin Lambe scored, but the Southampton Rangers drew level in the 33rd minute when Milton Ferreira scored as the two teams shared the points.
Somerset Trojans 1 – Dandy Town Hornets 4
At the Somerset Cricket Club Aquino Grant gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead in the 3rd minute, but Tyrell Burgess equalized for the Somerset Trojans in the 30th minute. Fabian Frankson gave the visiting Hornets the lead in the 67th minute and then he scored again in the 72nd minute to make it 4 – 1. Antonio Lowe scored in the 80th minute to earn the Hornets a 4 – 1 win.
