Day #1 Results: Bermuda Squash Challenge
The Bermuda Squash Challenge 2012 got underway last night [Nov 15] at the Bermuda Racquets Squash Association Club in Devonshire.
The most anticipated match of the evening in the Men’s Division A was the top junior prospect D’Vario Thompson going up against Nick Kyme the former World Ranked #69. Kyme won in straight sets 11-5, 11-8, 11-7, while Patrick Foster defeated his opponent from Boston Derek Moran in straight sets 11-3, 11-9, 11-8.
Laura Robinson defeated Susie Lacey in straight sets in their Ladies Division A match 11-4, 11-6, 11-5, Kristi Maroc from New York defeated Denise Kyme in a four set battle, Maroc won the first two sets 13-11, 14-12, before Kyme won the third set 11-9, but Maroc closed out the match in the fourth set winning 11-8.
