[Updated with video] Locals are celebrating the New Year at various parties being hosted this evening across the island, with two open air celebrations being held in both Hamilton and St George’s.

Nice pics! I went last year and this year looks wayyyy better!!!!!! I went to Front Street, and for about 15 minutes, they PLAYED fireworks on a giant screen, with horrible sound!! What was that about!? No Fireworks this year for hamilton??

A good start for the New Year.- it was nice.
I attended the St George’s NYE event; it was OK! The UNIT band was excellent, thankfully they were there!
