Upcoming: Internet Governance Presentation
IT professionals across the island are being invited to attend a special Wired Wednesday on Internet Governance, presented by Nigel Hickson, Vice President of Europe ICANN, on January 9th at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club.
The topic of discussion will be: “What business needs to know about the governance of the Internet; the role of ICANN and new opportunities with top level domains”.
A spokesperson said, “Recent changes to the Internet’s infrastructure and governance have led to greater internationalisation and more business opportunities. It’s important to understand the impact of these changes and why it’s of benefit to monitor the further evolution of the Internet.
“Wired Wednesdays are designed to bring the eBusiness, Information Technology and Telecommunications community together to network and discuss current emerging issues and developments.”
