BMRC Motorcycle Endurance Race Results
The Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club ['BMRC] held its first of two-nour Endurance Races this past Saturday [Feb 23]. There were a total of ten racers across six teams that entered this grueling test of stamina & endurance. Teams were able to enter into one of two categories: Superminis class [Under 125 cc] or the Superbikes class [GP 125s, Formula Extreme or Superbike 600].
The team with the most laps in each classification not only took home the bragging rights but a cash purse of $250. The team placing second overall received a $100 purse and the third place team $50. The dynamics of the two-hour endurance race saw the riders pitting to refuel, intake fluids and change over of riders. Additionally there was a mandatory pit stop at 4:00 PM which included a direction change on the circuit for the remainder of the event.
