Minors Claims Four State Championship Wins
[Updated] Bermuda’s Dage Minors had a standout performance in the Vermont High School Indoor Track & Field State Championships, powering to victories in the 1600m [4:34.37], 1000m [2:43.26] and 600m [1:25.68].
Minors — a Carifta medalist — accomplished his triple win in back-to-back fashion, then went on to anchor his school’s 4×400 relay team in their winning efforts.
It was a couple-hour stretch that even impressed his coach Chip Langmaid, the Burlington Free Press reported. “His workouts have been unbelievable,” said Mr Langmaid. “He’s been phenomenal – it’s scary.”
Dage attends St. Johnsbury Academy in Vermont, where he is a consistent top performer, often winning races and the holder of many school records.
Update: Dage was named the State’s Boys Athlete of the Year during the awards ceremony.

I saw when this young chap started running – must have been 7 or 8 years old at the time.
I also know the parents – which have stuck behind him. — especially his father.
Personally I looking at big things from him – if he keeps it up – such as
a Medal Gold at the Olympic”s , our 24th race and hopefully all this fine running from this young man gets him
a University scholarship .
Watch out for this young man in the future.
Congrats…
Keep up the good work Dage…
Congratulations – keep on keeping on.
Congratulations and best of luck.
Congrats Dage! I know his parents as well and although the father would train him physically…the mom n her cheerleaders were at all local races! Good team work, gooooo Dage!
How old is Dage? Is he still eligible for Carifta this year?
Let’s encourage him!
Good work, Dage
Dage will be 18 this year; his last year for Carifta is 2014.
