Eight Weeks Until Bermuda Hosts ICC Cricket
With only eight weeks to go before Bermuda host its most prestigious ICC event in history, the Bermuda Cricket Board and its event organizing committee said they have made solid progress with the many stakeholders to ensuring delivering a world class event.
President Lloyd Fray explained: “The organizing committee has been very productive and has established key working groups for each functional area of the event delivery. These include hotel liaison, umpires scorers and Duckworth-Lewis managers, venue preparation, official team and event liaison officers, transport, technology, sponsor relations etc.
“I am very proud to witness how many people and organizations in our community are working to ensure that the world will learn what an outstanding sporting venue Bermuda is. As usual Government continues to be extremely helpful and supportive across all aspects of the event delivery.”
“At this time I wish to invite nationals of the competing teams to contact the BCB office so that we can provide an extra special welcome for the teams. Please contact Russell Richardson our Liaison Director directly on 536-0388. I am optimistic that Ugandans, Nepalese, Italians, Omanis and USA citizens based in Bermuda can play a key role in making sure that this competition is most memorable.”
The Liaison Officers are as follows:
