Women’s Futsal League Weekend Results
A total of 30 goals were scored during the latest round of Women’s Futsal League action inside the Dellwood Middle School Gymnasium this weekend.
Somerset Hurricanes 6 0 North Village Lady Rams 7
The match of the evening saw the league leaders North Village Lady Rams avenge a previous loss to the Somerset Hurricanes earlier in the season, in a the win that saw them come from 5 – 1 down at the break. The North Village Lady Rams Coach rallied his players and they showed the heart of champions as they overcame the Somerset Hurricanes at the end by one goal, behind the outstanding play of Shuntae Todd who scored 4 goals. LeiLanni Nesbeth, Whitnae Duerr and Leanne Yates all added a goal each, while the Somerset Hurricanes were led by Deshae Darrel and Sierra Fisher who both scored 2 goals each, Dazhja Greaves and Jasmine Simmons added a goal each.
Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds 1 – PHC Lady Zebras 8
Taznae Fubler scored a hat-trick to lead the PHC Lady Zebras to a 8 – 1 win over the Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds. The PHC Lady Zebras started out slowly against a determined Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds team and led 3 – 0 at half-time. However in the second half, the PHC Lady Zebras opened the flood gates and scored 5 more goals in the second half, Micah Pond and Chyna Young both scored twice and Keunna Dill scored the other, Rachel Smith scored the lone goal for the Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds.
Dandy Stars Gold 4 0 Dandy Stars Brown 4
In an entertaining match, the younger Dandy Stars Brown team outplayed their sister team for long stretches of the match and led 4 to 2 at half-time. Dandy Stars Gold came back in the second half scoring 2 goals to draw the match at 4 to 4. Zahra Gibbons was outstanding for Dandy Stars Brown scoring 3 goals, while Leah Smith added the other. Dandy Stars Gold got balanced scoring from Precious Cooper, Cleshaunay Darrell-Virgil, Kashintae Fox and Alexis Trott, all scoring 1 goal each.
