Brangman’s Sentence Reduced By Six Months
The Court has reduced the sentence which 61-year-old Glenn Brangman received after being convicted of four counts of sexually assaulting a male teenager. Brangman’s three and half year sentence has been reduced by six months to three years.
At Brangman’s trial, the Court heard that at the time of the offences that Brangman was employed by the Bermuda Housing Corporation and the victim was a 19-year-old male who had been employed at the BHC.

I wonder if he’ll appeal again.
“At Brangman’s trial, the Court heard that at the time of the offences that Brangman was employed by the Bermuda Housing Corporation and the victim was a 19-year-old male who had been employed at the BHC”
And the relevence of this statement? ? !!
One can NEVER serve too much time for sexual assault.
Sad to see the sentance reduced. Strange how the courts tend to view sexual assault on young males differently and less serious than if the victim was a female.
Yup – SILLY!! This is ludacris
not really – didn’t Selassie get his sentence reduced too? It seems to be that sexual assault in general is taken lightly. I would like to see how the judge would react if it was his daughter or son. F***ing pathetic.
Even if it’s just touching, children are forever affected by these creeps and freaks. We need to stop the cycle and get rid of these sick individuals.
How anyone can reduce the f***ing sentence is beyond me. Who cares if they getting beat in jail. who the f*** cares.
just means he will be out sooner to do it again!
these types never change, only the bleeding hearts and bible thumpers believe they do.
He’s out already…..I saw him today in the city.
Unbelievable!
What worth are we placing on our childrens lives if the monsters that harm them are released early?
Mans sick crazy thing is he was aman of trust so sad
released at all.
I am sure RawOnion is having an April fools on us.
How many times is he allowed to appeal?
Something doesn’t smell right right here, I suppose in 6 months time we will hear from this case again, but this time he will be given a sentance to which he has already served.
Judges friend perhaps?
@ Cleancut. You have hit the nail right on the head. Time served will most likley be the next sentence. Disgusted.
I spotted him Too !
@James Rego
According to RG he’s out on bail so it might not be a joke
So if his sentence was reduced by 6 months. why is he not in jail doing the 3 years? He has appealed 2 times already!! I guess it is who you know or where you worked that keeps you out of jail and still having a life.
Surely all his victims are annoyed at this whole case and the fact that he is not in jail. SMH
Justice system, legal system is broken. Time for a new one.
I have said it time and time again what recourse does the public have from ridiculous decisions made by the “honorable” people collecting huge salaries sitting on the benches in the supposed halls of “justice” none perhaps, I say. I have never read of such inconsistencies in a judicial system in any other jurisdictions.
None would be the corect answer to yur question at present. Time for reform.
Justice Kawaley suggested what was a rather vapid proposal fro review of certain aspects of judges’ behavior. That was shot down by the new A.G. Mark Pettingill. That leaves you with no recourse in addressing the judiciary. They are evidently infallible and thus not subject to our scrutiny.
There should be an avenue of appeal for concerned citizens to appeal manifestly unjust sentences, but I don’t know of any jurisdiction with such. Wish we could march on the courts. Perhaps if we petition Mr. Pettingill, because there is something very seriously wrong with our court system and the sentencing structures.
With regard to this case, this man should have had his sentence increased not diminished, and he definitely should not be out on bail. He abused a position of authority, respect and trust when he molested the young man, which makes his crime more heinous, not less.
