Aspen Reinsurance Appoints Tom Luning
Bermuda based Aspen Reinsurance appointed Tom Luning as Head of US Regional Business Development.
Mr Luning will be responsible for delivering and enhancing Aspen Re’s broad range of products in the US Regional marketplace. He will be based at Aspen Re America’s office in Connecticut and report to Mike Sowa, Managing Director of North America, and Brian Boornazian, Aspen Re’s Chairman and CEO for North America.
Brian Boornazian said, “We are delighted to have someone with Tom’s wealth of experience and market knowledge join the business. Aspen Re’s regional approach is a key element of our growth strategy and Tom is uniquely qualified to lead and develop our presence in the important US regional market.”
Before joining Aspen Re, Mr Luning was at Swiss Re for 27 years where he held a variety of management roles in both Underwriting and Marketing and was a member of the Swiss Re America Management Board. He spent the last 10 years as a Managing Director responsible for the Swiss Re America Regional National Business.
