Day #4: Jr Caribbean Squash Championships
The 31st Junior Caribbean Squash Championships [CASA] continued at the Cascadia and the Queen’s Park Squash Clubs in Trinidad and Tobago with Team Competition getting underway.
The Bermuda Boys went down 4 – 1 to the Barbados Boys, Anaya Smith went down to Khamal Cumberbatch in the Under 13 Division 11-8, 11-3, 9-11, 11-9, while Kion Knights picked up Bermuda’s only win defeating Benjamin Griffith in the Under 17 Division 11-5, 11-5, 11-3.
Nazhir Smith went down in straight sets 11-4, 11-6, 11-7 to Zakhi Williams in the under 19 Division, while Kyler Knights fell to Stewart St. John also playing in the Under 19 Division 11-6, 11-6, 11-6 and Dylan Pratt went down 10-12, 11-7, 11-7, 11-7 to Shemane Griffith in the Under 15 Division.
The Bermuda Girls went down 3 – 2 to Guyana. Charlotte Toogood gave Bermuda the lead when she won her Under 13 Division match 11-7, 11-7, 8-11, 11-8 over Makeda Harding, while Tiye Williams went down 11-8, 11-3, 11-3 to Akeila Wiltshire in the Under 17 Division.
Emma Keane went down in her Under 19 Division match against Victoria Arjoon 11-6, 11-3, 11-2, while Susanna Armano went down 11-4, 11-6, 11-4 to Gabrielle Fraser in the Under 17 Division and Olivia Lindsey defeated Rebecca Lowe in their Under 15 Division match 11-6, 6-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-5.
