Video: Lewis Finishes 8th In World 100m Final
[Updated with video] Clocking a time of 19.17, Bermuda’s Jessica Lewis finished 8th in the 100m T53 final in the 2013 International Paralympic Committee World Championships in France.
Lisha Huang from China won today’s [July 25] race in a time of 17.09, Angela Ballard from Australia finished second in a time of 17.64, and Ilana Dupont from Canada was third in 18.22.
Kazumi Nakayama from Japan was fourth in 18.55, Catherine Debrunner from Sweden finished 5th clocking 18.62, the USA’s Chelsea McClammer crossed the line sixth with a time of 18.68 and Keiko Konishi from Japan was seventh in a time of 18.94.
Lewis will next hit the track on Friday [July 26] where she will compete in the 400m, her final event.
Scheduled to run until July 28, 2013, the IPC Athletics World Championships are being held in Lyon, France, drawing more than 1,100 athletes from 99 countries around the world.
