Day #2: O’pen Bic World Championships In Italy

The eight Bermuda junior sailors took to the water for Day Two of the O’pen Bic World Championship in Italy on Sunday [Aug 4], and three of them currently hold a top 10 spot.

170 participants from 12 different countries including Bermuda are taking part and are split into two categories, the Under 13′s and the Under 16′s. All the Bermuda sailors are competing in the Under 16 Division.

Three races was sailed on the day with Ceci Wollmann now leading the Bermuda fleet moving up one spot from 7th place to 6th and is 2nd in the female civision, she has 38 Net Points after finishes on Day Two of 5th, 4th and 9th.

Mikey Wollmann fell one spot from 6th place to 7th place, Wollmann has 39 net points after finishes of 8th, 10th and 2nd.

The other Bermuda sailor in the top ten is Peter Dill in 8th place moving up one spot with 47 net points. Dill has recorded finishes of 14th, 7th and he recorded a win on the final race of the Day.

Sammy Dill is in 47th place with 249 net points, while in 62nd place is Charis Todd with 343 net points. Aglae Perrin is in 74th with 426 net points, while Brandon Adams is in 80th with 467 net points, Blair Blakeney rounds out the Bermuda fleet in 85th place with 490 net points.
