Bermuda Bravery Association Awards Tonight
Governor George Ferguson will honour several local residents for deeds of heroism at the annual Bermuda Bravery Association Awards ceremony at Government House tonight at 6 pm.
One of the highlighted incidents of bravery includes two police officers dragging horses and cattle from blazing stables, putting their own lives at risk.
Another involves the rescue of three passengers from a vehicle on a cliff on the South Shore after it had skidded off the road.
The Association was instituted in 1976 and its aim is to recognise those who help others in life-threatening situations.
