Police Appeal: Help Locate 82 Year Old [Found]
[Updated] The police have issued an appeal for the public’s assistance in locating an 82 year old man who was last seen at his Sandys parish home on Monday.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 82 year old John Albert Rogers.
“Mr. Rogers, also known as ‘Johnny’ is described as tall, dark complexioned with greying hair.
“The Sandys parish resident was last seen at his Cochrane Road home around 5pm Monday, October 21st wearing royal blue coloured Bermuda shorts, a blue & white coloured checkered button up shirt and a blue coloured cap.
“Mr. Rogers may be traveling on foot or via the bus.
“Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 82 year old John Albert Rogers is encouraged to contact the Vulnerable Persons Unit on 247-1678 or the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.”
Update 11.37am: The police said Mr Rogers was found at 11am today, and was taken to KEMH for assessment. The full police statement follows below
The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 82 year old John Albert Rogers.
Mr. Rogers was found around 11am today, Tuesday, October 22nd, in the Dockyard area.
He was subsequently taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment.
Thank God he was found!!! Very unnerving to hear of someone of any age missing from their loved ones.
Amen! Hope he is okay.
