Videos: Richards & Bean On Infrastructure Plan
Last Friday Environment Minister Sylvan Richards and Opposition Leader Marc Bean exchanged words in the House of Assembly with both accusing each other of making inaccurate statements.
Minister Richards said the total amount spent on the National Infrastructure Plan to date is $58,181 not $500,000 as the Opposition Leader said, while Mr Bean pointed out the Minister’s claim he attended the 2011 Summit was inaccurate.
The Minister said a question was asked whether the Phase One report would be released to the public.
“That really doesn’t make any sense to do right now because it was a very high level outline of what Phase Two would do,” said the Minister. “So to release it to the public doesn’t really garner anything.”
Mr Bean cited the inaccuracies in the Minister’s statement, and called it “quite possibly the worst Ministerial statement the House has ever had to listen to.”
Opposition Leader Marc Bean:
Minister Richards:
It still amazes me that 3 OBA Ministers (MONIZ, FAHY, & RICHARDS)have spoken on this topic but the Premier who was also in attendance at the summit remains silent. ?
he can’t talk unless someone writes his speech
@amazed very very true i agree! But where is the 800m to!? Silence!
This is far from my area of expertise, but what I do know is that if this government wants gambling they can start by not insuring every government asset for one year. In one year we will be out of debt, but I wouldnt tell anyone the plan lol something might catch fire.
