Cricket: Bermuda Claim Win #2, Beat Denmark
The Bermuda National Cricket team followed up their defeat of Scotland with a win over Denmark, and now have a 2-0 record thus far at the ICC World Cup Twenty20 Qualifiers in Dubai.
Bermuda restricted them to 111/8 in their allotted 20 overs, Denmark had a run rate of 5.55, Hamid Shah was their top scorer with 31, while opener Frederik Klokker added 23. Bermuda were led in the bowling department by Derrick Brangman who returned figures of 4.0-0-29-3, Dion Stovell bowled 4.0-0-14-2 and Jacobi Robinson bowled 3.0-0-15-2.
Bermuda in reply scored 112/1 after 16.2 overs only losing one wicket, Stovell was out for 24 with the score on 37 after 3.3 overs. Tre Manders was the top scorer with 45 off 48 deliveries that included seven fours, while David Hemp chipped in with 27 from 39. Yasir Iqbal was the only Denmark bowler to grab a wicket finishing with figures of 2.0-0-13-1.
