BASA Confirm New Short Course Swim Records
The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association have updated their Short Course Meter records, following the Thornhill Swim Meet in Thornhill, Ontario Canada, the Ontario Winter Festival in Brantford, Ontario, Canada and the Speedo Eastern Canadian Championships in Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Elan Daley is now the 8 and Under Girls record holder in 4 different events, she is now the 100m Backstroke Record Holder after touching the wall in a time of 1:33.25, breaking Jessica Bruton’s record of 1:33.66 set on December 2nd, 2012. Daley broke the 50m Breaststroke Record clocking 45.36, breaking an eleven year old record held by Naomi Vides’ of 0:46.02 set on July 12th, 2003. Daley clocked 3:44.45 during the 200m Breaststroke, the time saw her breaking Holly Bruton’s record of 4:05.64 set on April 30th, 2011. Daley also now holds the 100m Butterfly record clocking 1:43.22, breaking Emma Harvey’s record of 1:46.02 set on April 10th, 2010.
Elijah Daley now holds the 8 and Under Boys 50m Butterfly Record with a time of 44.77, breaking this record that had previously stood for 28 years set by Jack Negro’s who clocked 44.80 back on June 1st, 1986.
Ethan Daley holds the 11 and 12 Boys 800m Freestyle record clocking a time of 10:25.64, breaking his own record of 10:43.84 set on December 1st, 2013

Elan Daley then set new 8 and Under Girls Records first in the 50m Freestyle touching the wall in a time of 33.09, breaking her own record of 0:34.40 set on January 25th, 2014. She then set a new 200m Backstroke record of 3:13.86, breaking Jessica Bruton’s record of 3:24.13 set on October 21st, 2012. Daley set a new 100m Breaststroke Record time of 1:39.83, breaking her own record of 1:40.38 set on January 26th, 2014 and then she set a new 100m Individual Medley Record of 1:29.05, breaking her own record of 1:29.47 set on February 1st, 2014..

Vanessa Esposito set new Girls 15 and 16 Records in the 200m Freestyle recording a time of 2:08.53, breaking her own record of 2:10.56 set on January 17th, 2014, she then set a new 400m Freestyle Record of 4:34.47, breaking her own record of 4:35.18 set on January 18th, 2014. Esposito then set a new 400m Freestyle record clocking a time of 4:31.91, breaking her own record of 4:34.47 set on February 15th, 2014.
