March 19, 2014

Caron Bermuda — an extension of the United States based nonprofit addiction treatment provider Caron Treatment Centers — announced that Mr. David Rotenberg, Vice President of Treatment at Caron, will be on island on March 20 and 21, 2014 conducting a one and a half day intensive training with Bermuda Youth Counseling Services [BYCS] counselors. This training is part of an ongoing collaboration between Caron Bermuda and BYCS with the provision of adolescent and family group programmes.

“The Caron Bermuda Board of Directors and I are delighted to be able to bring Dave to the island to provide this tremendous opportunity for professional development to our long-standing partners at BYCS,” said Gita Blakeney Saltus, Regional Vice President of Caron Bermuda.

“Dave brings a wealth of experience and expertise from Caron Pennsylvania, and will no doubt provide a plethora of detail on the disease of addiction.”

Caron Bermuda said, “Mr. Rotenberg is recognized throughout the industry as an expert in treating co-occurring mental health disorders, relapse and family issues, especially related to adolescents and young adults. Mr. Rotenberg has pioneered innovative treatment approaches and developed gender specific programs that emphasize cultural literacy as a key element in adolescent and young adult addiction treatment.”

“In addition to this training, Caron Bermuda is delighted that Argus Insurance will sponsor an evening reception and presentation by Mr. Rotenberg on Friday, March 21st at 6 p.m. We welcome physicians, clinicians and all relevant stakeholders to join us and are appreciative of Argus’ sponsorship support.”
