Brown Resigns As Devonshire Cougars Coach
[Updated] The Executive Committee of the Devonshire Recreation Club said that Dennis Brown has resigned as their Head Football Coach.
A spokesperson said, “We appreciate his service for the past three years and wish him well in his future endeavors. The club will begin the formal process for the recruitment of a new technical director immediately.”
Update: In a letter sent to the Club on Monday, Mr. Brown said, “After serious consideration, I have decided that this is the right time for me to now concentrate on my Bermuda’s Brazilian Football School.
“Being associated with such a historic institution like Devonshire Recreation Club was a great pleasure for me to be a part of.
“It was my goal to have a positive impact on our young males in the programme from the very first day I commenced coaching at DRC. This experience was very rewarding and fulfilling and one I will never forget.
“Although each season was enjoyable, none will compare to what the team accomplished last season where we won the Triple Crown and the PDL titles.
“The appreciation and love that I have for the Executive, Management and Players is immeasurable. I have been blessed to work with a great administration and quality young men.
“I am indeed totally appreciative of the assistance that I received from day one from none other than Earl Rhoda, Cyril ‘Dago” Steede and Shawn Smith. Without them none of what we accomplished would have happened.”
Well done Dennis,
Good luck in the future
