[Updated] The Annual PLP Easter Egg Hunt was held yesterday [Apr 19] in Somers Gardens in St. George’s. The event was hosted by Dame Jennifer Smith and Senator Renee Ming.
Children were kept busy throughout the afternoon with activities including running races, a fun castle, Easter themed colouring and an Easter egg hunt. Appetites were kept satisfied with tables lined with food and refreshments for all in attendance.
East end area teenagers stepped up to assist with the children’s activities while the adults and children all took part in relaxing and socializing around the park grounds.

Update Apr 20:Senator Renee Ming commented on the event saying, “We are pleased to host this event annually for the children and families in St George. Our St Georges community looks forward to our Easter egg hunt. It would be remiss of me not to give honour and praise to God for sending his son to die for our sins. We rejoice in his resurrection.
“Special thanks to the sponsors and members of the community who assist by donating their time, goodies, and ensuring that we had a successful event. I was especially happy to see all the children thoroughly enjoying themselves. It was a great time had by all.”
