Sunday: BRFU To Host Free Youth Rugby Camp

rugby-camp-posterThe Bermuda Rugby Football Union [BRFU] is getting set to host its free Bermuda Rugby Camps on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 10.30am through 12.30pm, with U10, U12, and U14 players invited to take part.

A spokesperson said, “The BRFU, working with title sponsors XL, are particularly proud of the hard work that is being done by the visiting Serevi rugby program.

“To date, the Serevi coaches have attended Bermuda Institute, T.N. Tatem, and Harrington Sound Primary, plus a session with Beyond Rugby students.

“So far on this trip, the Serevi program has coached 108 boys and 32 girls. The positive role models that the Serevi coaching staff provides was utilized in a heart-to-heart session with the Beyond Rugby program and other children.

“With the message of the core values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, and sportsmanship, they are providing positive influence on how rugby can change lives for the better.

“The public is reminded that there is a free Rugby Camp for U10, U12, and U14 players this Sunday, May 4 at the North Field at the National Sports Centre. Everyone is encouraged to attend; even first-timers can give rugby a try.
