Premier, First Cricket Division Weekend Results
A number of cricket games took place this past weekend [May 24/25], with Southampton Rangers, Willow Cuts, St. David’s Cricket Club, Western Stars and Flatt’s Victoria all recording wins.
Premier Division
Southampton Rangers Win by 320 Runs: Southampton Rangers 369/5 St. George’s Cricket Club 49
At the Southampton Oval the Southampton Rangers won the toss and elected to bat scoring 369/5 in their allotted 50 overs. Alex Dore was the top scorer with 93, while Shannon Raynor scored 85 not out and Dion Stovell added 79. Misheal Paynter was the pick of the St. George’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 10-0-52-3, Troy Hall bowled 8-0-72-2.
In reply St. George’s Cricket Club were bowled all out for 49, with Charles Marshall Jr. the top scorer with 14, while Macai Simmons added 13, Kevin Tucker was the pick of the Southampton Rangers bowlers with figures of 7.2-2-16-4 and Janeiro Tucker bowled 6-0-30-4.
Willow Cuts Win by 9 Wickets: Bailey’s Bay 123 Willow Cuts 125/1
At the Somerset Cricket Club, Willow Cuts bowled Bailey’s Bay all out for 123, Coolidge Durham was the top scorer with 32, while Kyle Hodsoll added 17. Kamal Bashir was the pick of the Willow Cuts bowlers with figures of 8.4-1-16-4 and Deunte Darrell bowled 10-0-26-4.
In reply Shaquille Jones scored 58 not out as Willow Cuts scored 125/1. Ricardo Brangman added 30 as Willow Cuts used only 24.2 overs to reach their target. Ryan Steede was the only Bailey’s Bay bowler to take a wicket returning figures of 3-0-17-1.
St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 8 Wickets: Somerset Cricket Club 145/9 St. David’s Cricket Club 146/2
At Lord’s in St. David’s this match was reduced to 39 overs due to a wt picth, Somerset Cricket Club scored 145/9 in their allotted 39 overs, with Joshua Gilbert the top score with 40, Delyone Borden was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 7-1-28-4.
In reply Fiqre Crockwell scored 75 as St. David’s Cricket Club scored 146/2. Justin Corday was the ick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers returning figures of 8-0-32-1.
First Division
Western Stars Win by 175 Runs: Western Stars 283/5 Warwick Workman’s Club 108
At St. John’s Field, Western Stars won the toss and elected to bat, with Dano Outerbridge scoring 104 not out, while Temiko Wilson added 34. Chris Kawaley was the pick of the Warwik Workman’s bowlers with figures of 8-0-47-2.
In reply Lionel Cann scored 55, but Warwick Workman’s were bowled all out for 105, Kawaley added 17. Brian Hall led the Western Stars bowling attack returning figures of 5-2-6-4, while Seth Campbell bowled 8-0-19-3.
Flatt’s Victoria Win by 22 Runs: Flatt’s Victoria 179 PHC 157
At the PHC Stadium, Flatt’s Victoria batted first and were bowled al out for 179, Kijuan Franks was the top scorer with 54, while Rahji Edness dded 24, Hasan Durham bowled 10-0-32-4 for PHC, while Elsworth Bean bowled 7-0-14-3.
In reply PHC were bowled all out for 157, Khiry Furbert was the top scorer with 49, with Bean added 39. Franks returned figures of 10-2-36-4 to lead the Flatt’s Victoria bowling attack, while Nelson Bascome bowled 10-2-43-3.
