Photos: Fire Service Extinguishes Trailer Fire
At approximately 3.50pm on Friday afternoon [June 27], the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of a vehicle fire near Highwood Lane in Paget.
Fire Service spokesperson Lt. Leonard Davis reported that “The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident with one fire appliance staffed with 4 firefighters. The Fire Service arrived on scene to find a truck trailer and its contents fully involved in fire.
“Two firefighters dressed in self-contained breathing apparatus and equipped with a 1 ½” hose line proceeded to put out the fire. The fire took approximately 5 minutes to extinguish.
“Belco was required to attend due to a fallen power line near the fire. A fire investigator was called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire which is still under investigation.”
