Photos & Video: Ambulance Donated To St John
[Updated with video] A ribbon cutting ceremony was held last night [June 9] at the St. John Ambulance headquarters to celebrate the arrival of a new ambulance to the service.
The ribbon cutting was attended by several dignitaries including Governor George Fergusson, Minister of Health, Seniors & Environment Jeanne Atherden and Senator Jeff Baron.
The new ambulance was donated by an anonymous sponsor and was much-needed after the oldest vehicle recently became inoperative. This year St. John Ambulance is celebrating 120 years of service to Bermuda.
St. John Ambulance has been attending to the first aid needs of the Bermuda community since 1894. All of their members are volunteers and provide their time and expertise without any personal financial gain.
