20 Year Old Killed In UK Road Collision Named
The 20-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a road accident that reportedly involved a Bermuda driver in the United Kingdom on Sunday [Aug 24] has been identified as William Phillip Frederick Ruewell, of West Chiltington Lane, Billingshurst [pictured left; photo courtesy The Argus].
The 69-year-old Bermuda driver of the car involved in the crash was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed until September 1, UK reports said.
His passenger, a 64-year-old woman also reported to be from Bermuda, sustained a broken collar bone, whiplash, and shock
A report in The Argus says, “The 20-year-old was riding a Honda VFR 800F motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a Volvo V40 at about 4.30pm.
“The 69-year-old car driver from Bermuda was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been bailed until September 1.
“Mr. Ruewell’s parents Phillip and Barbara have paid tribute to their son, saying, “William was our dearly loved only son and a loving brother to Lydia and Ellie. He was triumphant over everything except the one thing that claims us all. He was our beautiful young man.”
