Man Remanded Over Sexual Abuse Charges
A 33 year old man appeared in Magistrates Court where he faced seven counts, all indictable, relating to sexual contact with a young girl.
The alleged incidents were said to occur between December 2013 and July 2014, and the defendant — who cannot be legally named at this stage of the proceedings — was said to be a person in a position of trust.
Because the charges are indictable and can only be tried in Supreme Court, he was not required to enter a plea. Senior Magistrate Archie Warner remanded the man into custody until he reappears for mention on 5th September.
